Business Bay landmark · KNX office automation
KNX automation for a corporate office fit-out inside The Opus, the Zaha Hadid-designed landmark in Business Bay, Dubai. A Theben KNX backbone drives DALI lighting with presence-based control, iONprime keypads give tactile scene control at the wall, and two wall-mounted iPads running Haus Logic OS put the whole floor on a single dashboard. A secure KNX IP router enables encrypted remote management, and the system runs locally for everyday reliability.

The fit-out needed intelligent, low-maintenance automation suited to a landmark commercial interior: lighting that responds to occupancy on its own, simple wall control any staff member can use, and secure remote access for the management team, all without cloud lock-in or fragile dependencies.
Haus Logic deployed a Theben KNX backbone with a two-channel DALI gateway driving the office lighting, giving precise dimming and grouping across the floor. thePiccola P360 presence detectors recessed into the false ceilings switch and tune lighting automatically by occupancy, cutting waste in unused zones. iONprime keypads provide tactile one, two, and four-way scene control at the wall, while two wall-mounted iPads running Haus Logic OS give the team a full-floor dashboard for lighting, scenes, and schedules. A secure KNX IP router enables encrypted remote management and diagnostics, and the system runs locally so daily operation never depends on the internet.
